Number one is to have a good attitude. Have you ever known a girl or gone out with a girl, or hopefully not, ever dated a girl who just doesn’t have a good attitude. She kind of brings the energy down. Maybe she’s a little bit negative in the comments she makes or the things she focuses on. Being around someone like that is ridiculously draining.
It’s not fun at all. However, Have you ever been around a girl who lifts the mood? She just, she lifts your spirits. You just feel better when you’re around her. And being intellectual doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the amount of schooling you have. For instance, I think we’ve all, probably met someone who’s not particularly fun to talk to, who has a lot of schooling. And there are people who have very little schooling who know how to learn and they’re fascinated by life.
And so they are intellectual. So when you are someone who knows how to think things through, you’re interested in the world and learning, you’re informed, you have your own opinion, these are all things that make you a fascinating person, an interesting person. You have life experiences and, uh, that is very attractive.
And I saved the best thing for last. You ready for this? The next non physical thing that makes you ridiculously attractive is when you take your relationship with God seriously. Let’s pretend for just a second. Just a second, that you need to cross a large body of water. And you have the option to get in one of two boats.
The owner of the first boat is going to do their best, but they have no idea how to navigate. The second person knows how to navigate. Well, which boat are you going to get into? You’re going to get into the one who knows how to navigate, right? This is what it’s like to be in a relationship with someone who has a serious relationship with God.
Now, I’m not talking about somebody who calls themselves Christian and is not. We’ve all known people like that, okay? Trust me, I’ve known people like that. I’m talking about someone who takes their relationship with God seriously. It becomes our, our, our anchor. It’s, we always. Even when life is throwing crazy things at us, we still know where to turn.
Just like someone who’s navigating a boat knows to turn to the stars or to turn to the compass. So just like you would want to get into the boat that would take you there safely and happily. That’s one of the reasons why marrying someone who makes God a priority in their lives is so critical. Knowing that you’re spending your life with someone who knows how to draw closer to God, someone who has integrity, someone who has values.
Standards is critical. This is one way we know that this person will always be loyal to us because if you love God and you’re loyal to God, you would never lower yourself to the point of cheating on your partner. So being in a relationship with someone who has integrity. and wants to do what’s right, no matter what popular opinion is, is like riding in the boat with someone who knows how to navigate.
This applies for both men and women. So if you want a woman who’s close to God, you need to make sure you’re taking your relationship with God seriously. And the best part is, again, this is something that you can start doing today. And a little personal here, this isn’t, I usually don’t get personal on here, but I can tell you that that is personally the best decision I’ve ever made, is to make my relationship with God, my relationship with my Savior, my top priority.
That influences everything else in my life. And I can tell you the closer I get to God, the happier I get. Does that mean my life is, is perfect? Absolutely not.
