That is actually one benefit of meeting someone at the grocery store. It can be, there are so many things to start a conversation around and it’s pretty natural for you to be wherever it is she is.

Several things here. One, you found that common ground. You also were talking to her in a way that you can build a conversation about it. The problem with most cheesy pickup lines is it’s like, wah, wah, wah. Now what do we do? That’s not a good first impression. In addition to that, you used your sense of humor. Does that make me weird? Now you can both kind of chuckle about it.
